Our Cinco de Mayo Menu That's All About Avocados!

Hi Reader,

Sure, today’s all about mint juleps and big hats. But our focus? It's already square on Cinco de Mayo. While it's more widely celebrated in the States than in Mexico, it’s the perfect excuse to gather friends and dig into some seriously delicious food.

And it also marks the start of California avocado season. To celebrated it all, we created a Cinco menu that’s part classic Mexican, part Mexican-inspired, and all about big flavors and easy entertaining. Here’s what’s on the menu:

Mint Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita

Spicy, cooling, and super refreshing—this is our go-to twist on the classic marg. Other top contenders are this Aperol Paloma Cocktail Margarita or this Classic Cadillac!

Tomatillo Avocado Salsa

A creamy, tangy salsa that’s perfect with chips or spooned over tacos. And, if you want even more avo, you can pair it with our Classic Guacamole recipe.

Shrimp Aguachile Verde

Think of this as ceviche’s bolder cousin—zippy, herby, and full of lime, chiles, and herbs.

Crunchy Fried Avocado Tacos

Crispy-on-the-outside, creamy-on-the-inside—these are a total crowd pleaser.

Avocado Coconut Semifreddo

A easy-to-make decadent frozen dessert that’s unexpected, elegant, and very spring. The use of coconut milk makes it vegan, by the way!
